About Jenyfer

I am an American currently living in
Cairo, Egypt. When my husband first
accepted a job abroad I was nervous
about leaving my home. In the end I
decided that while I could always go
home again, I might not get another such
unique opportunity to see the world. I
have never regretted it. Adapting to a
new culture and learning bits and pieces
of a new language isn’t always easy, but
it’s certainly never boring!
In the nearly eight years that we have
now been abroad I have taken
advantage of every opportunity I have
had to travel. I’ve come a long way from
Louisiana, where I grew up! I have been
to Germany, Greece, Turkey, India,
Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Oman,
the United Arab Emirates, and now
Egypt. I’ve seen some wonderful sights
and met some lovely people. And I still
have a lot of the world left to explore.
In addition to writing romance and
women's fiction, I also write tongue-in-
cheek essays about motherhood and
accounts of my travels – both of which
you can read on my Just Jenyfer blog.
And when I need a break from writing, I
make quilts. I have covered all of the
beds in my home and have even sold
some commission pieces to help finance
my travels!
I hope you enjoy the photos of my
travels. Sorry you can’t see my face – as
you can tell I’m the shy and retiring type.
