One to go. I just finished up the Christmas quilt for my son last night – will have to get busy on my daughter’s now. Not much left to do on it, but there isn’t much time left either!
I am not deluded enough to think that they’ll fully appreciate these quilts as presents. They are only children after all and quilting is just what mom “does”. They will appreciate these quilts more when they are older or I am gone. I’m okay with that. Still, isn’t it pretty? (Click on the photo for better color and more detail)

The BICHOK worked yesterday – got about 1500 words written on my WIP. I sort of wrote myself down a blind alley but having had the evening to mull things over, I think I know a way out back into the open again. More on that later…

Only eight school days left until Christmas break. I’m trying to write but…the…words…won’t…come……
Ack.
I’m practicing BICHOK but I think that Aurora is going to have to wait until after the new year to have my full attention.
Maybe I’ve just used up all my creativity on my quilting this week. I haven’t even been able to come up with nice dinners!!!

Coffee Time Romance gave ONE CRAZY SUMMER four cups!
“Ms. Matthews brings her characters to life in this story. Ben and Summer are complete opposites that have very different outlooks on life and expectations. Ms. Matthews enthralls the reader with the many differences and the involvement of their families and friends. This is a wonderful read with lots of laughter and amazing romance. I look forward to reading many more books by this author.”

Yet another way to pass the time – much more productively than Blogthings – reading the awesome serial Ember by Bettie Sharpe. A paranormal Grimm’s fairytale inspired romance – with an emphasis on grim. How much better can it get? If you haven’t been keeping up with it, check it out now. I guarantee you’ll be hooked.
I can’t wait until it’s available in its entirety so I can re-read every marvelous word of it…

I have Nina to thank for reminding me of the existence of Blogthings. Not sure how fitting the below description is but now I’m hungry…
| You Are Mud Pie |
You’re the perfect combo of flavor and depth. You are overpowering and dominant – and that’s what people like about you. You bring energy and a new direction to most interactions. People crave you in a serious way. You’re that important to them.
Those who like you give into their impulses. You don’t represent reason. You represent pure temptation. People get addicted to you rather easily. You offer people a dark side that is very hard to resist. |

What The Holidays Mean to You
|

For you, the holidays are about generosity. You give as much as you possibly can to friends, family, and charity. You celebrate the holidays in a minimalist style. You are likely to only give one great present and decorate your house with a few special items.
During the holidays, you like to feel cozy and comfortable. You’re happy to stay inside with a roaring fire and a warm drink.
You think the holidays should be comforting and relaxing. You don’t like the holiday rush… you just like the simple pleasure of the holidays.
Your favorite holiday memories strongly evoke your senses. You are vividly aware of all the tastes, smells, and sounds of the holidays.
